This is a very good pot fork, but be warned it would be a better BBQ fork than an indoor cutting fork. Good quality but not a 6 1/2 inc for more like a 12+ pot fork to be used over a hot bed of coals. Well worth the price just takes a lot of space in my knife drawer.

One little detail not included: The tang section is 6 1/2 inches long. Overall, the fork is closer to 12 inches. However, well made but not what I was looking for. Returned.

The description said 6 1/2 inch fork ( I am trying to replace a favorite wooden handle fork that my Mom used for cooking and gave to me...)

When it arrived, I realized that the description must have been referring to the metal part ONLY. It should have said total length. It is not what I wanted but it really is a good quality item for very little money.

selected this grill for it small size and when necessary, its portability.

the grill is easy to assemble. the folding legs are already attatched. inside, a flame shield easily bends into slots and the grill is laid into place.

i have used the small propane canisters for cooking and currently have a 20lb tank attatched to mine.

the grill does best at little better than 5 minutes or so of preheating at medium setting. i have cooked frozen thick pork chops to perfection. frozen chicken breasts seem to take a bit longer....and sometimes havent browned the way i would prefer.

does burgers and sausages well (but they seem to take awhile) but grease can flare up with burgers on occasion despite the flame shield.

the grill is easy to light via a left side port.

i have dropped in a few hickory chips (3 to 4 at a time in the front and back) through the grill (so they fell below the flame shield) while cooking to get a more smokey flavor....and the chips did ignite and enhanced the flavor...though i dont this this is reccomended in the manual.

not particulary heavy duty but not too flimsy either.

We have had our grill for over 5 years. We even have left it out in the elements for 365 days in New England. It heats up quickly, cleans easily, and is small enough/light enough that we can take it with us. Not sure why the negative reviews on account of a latch/dent....return it and get another one! Silly to give a negative review because you bought a damaged one.

After looking everywhere for a small bbq that isnt a piece of crap, I thought I finally found this at home depot. Put it back in the box after 10 minutes of trying to get the lid to latch right. There was also a dent in mine. The bottom half seems greatbetter than almost all I've ever seen. The top was thinner and overall cheaper. BOOOOOOOOO

This smoker is a small version of one a friend of mine purchased at Home Depot. I didn't purchase the larger one because it is extremely heavy. This smoker is very light and easy to put together. It does an adequate job of smoking fish and other smaller items. The negative things I have found are: (1) the firebox seems to get very hot on the left side near the air vent but the fire tends to burn slowly or go out on the right side, away from the air vent; (2) the thin construction of the unit makes for uneven temperatures throughout the indirect cooking part of the unit and (3) I have only used the unit five times and the paint is peeling extensively from the firebox container. I would say that the unit is worth the price and is a decent trade-off if you are looking for a lightweight unit. For smoking things like turkeys, however, I would recommend the larger, heavier unit.

I first saw this smoker while camping. The people next to me had one. They raved about it,so I bought one. First thing I had to do was go the Ace hardware and buy a sheet of steel grating to keep the charcoal from falling through the one provided.($20.00)It is working good after that, however to much heat on the fire box side.I'm going to fabricate a piece of sheet metal over it to lower the heat flow.I think I will be in business after that. Like other reviews said the paint burns off after first use. That does'nt bother me. I just want good food. One suggestion is to use more wood than charcoal.(tastier results)I do like it.

Best Deals for Char-Broil American Gourmet

I have used this smoker a few times and have not had any trouble. Considering what I paid for it and its size, I did not expect it to be perfect, or competing in barbecue contests. It is a small, basic, offset firebox smoker, plain and simple. For my purposes it has worked just fine and I have found that with a little care, the paint on mine is not peeling as the other reviewers have noted.

Honest reviews on Char-Broil American Gourmet

First, I did not buy this product from Amazon, but felt compelled to let others know how I felt about this unit.

Like the other reviewer for this product, I find that temperatures are very inconsistent in this smoker. The unit permits a lot of heat loss due to the thin metal construction. There are also many leaks around the doors. To compensate for this problem it is necessary to use a lot of charcoal.

The charcoal grates that were provided allow a lot of charcoal to fall through the spaces. To combat this I stacked the grates in a criss-cross pattern. This puts the fire higher and closer to the opening to the cook chamber. Thus, the result is direct radiant heat between the cook chamber and the firebox. To combat this problem, another peice of sheet metal needs to be inserted between the compartments to minimize radiant heat. Otherwise, you need to open the cook chamber to rotate the meet. This causes more heat loss and the whole thing is a vicious cycle.

Finally, I had to check the coals on this unit once an hour at least to ensure that the coals were still burning or had not burned out.

Another reviewer who was reviewing a similar product (the Charbroil Silver Smoker) recommended creating a charcoal basket and I believe that the same would be appropriate for this model as well.

Also, as others noted, you will need to go out and buy yourself a can of black grill spraypaint as this contraption will be losing its paint finish in huge flakes. I took a stiff wire brush to it each time I finished using it and waited until the unit was completely cold before applying spraypaint to the bare surfaces.

The only good aspect of this smoker is that it is lightweight and easy to move.

In hindsight, I learned that I could do much better low, slow smoking for smaller peices of meat and chicken with my 18 1/2 inch weber silver kettle. My next smoker investment will be firebricks and grates so that I can make my own smoker in the backyard.

Solid product.... much more so then others like it. The only problem is that the 6 areas for grilling are not large enough. The unit cannot handle the thickness of my burgers (not that thick), because it has a fixed clamping mechanism that doesn't expand. Also each area has a tapered edge that squeezes all but the smallest diameter burger. I find myself using it mostly for chicken, little burgers or vegetables, but not my standard meal time burger. It is still a great product to have if you grill and for the price, if you end up hating it, you won't be too upset.

Cheap Char-Broil Grill 2 Go Ice Grill Cover

Char-Broil Grill 2 Go Ice Grill Cover
Customer Ratings: 4.5 stars
Buy Now
The good: This cover was made specifically for the grill I own and fits over the grill perfectly. It also includes some holes for specific places you might want to reach while the cover is on, like the handle to pull the grill without taking the cover off.

The bad: The cover is built to fit perfectly over the grill when the gas attachment is off and when the shelves are taken off the side of the grill. This isn't a big deal, but it increases the work required to either cover the grill or uncover it since you will also have to assemble or disassemble the grill. The cover is also short, which means you have to lower the grill down to its storage and transportation size in order to keep the frame and wheels covered.

The conclusion: This is a small grill cover made for a small, portable grill, so it makes sense that they chose to make it the way they did. I'm neither thrilled with the cover nor am I disappointed. It's got some nice features that make sense, but it's not ideal for how I would have wanted to use it. To those that want to store and use the grill on their porch or deck, I would recommend going to the store and getting a generic cover for the same price. If this is a secondary grill, however, and you use it on occasion when you want to go to the park or camping, then this cover is great for the rest of the time when you are likely going to want to store this as small as possible.

If you have one of these grills, and keep it outside over an extended period of time, you NEED this!

It has a velcro flap across the top back edge to allow the retractable handle to fit through (in it's extended position), so you can still wheel it around with the cover on. It has flaps across the front to allow access to the coolers underneath (or in my case, I have attached a full size tank where the coolers would fit). It fits nicely without being too loose or tight, slides over the grill, & stays in place, even in windy conditions. I was surprised it doesn't have any velcro straps to cinch it closed at the bottom, but so far it hasn't needed them.

The only thing I would improve upon would be to add extensions on the ends to allow the side tables to stay in position while covered. Except for winter storage, I prefer to leave the tables in place, and it's a nuisance to take them on & off between using & storing the grill.

Overall, I'm very happy with it.

Well built grill, the only downside I find is that it burns really HOT and a cover is not made to fit this grill, if you do not want to ruin your veges steaks etc. wait at least 30 mins after lighting charcoal before adding your steak. After jumping through hoops an alternate cover was finally recommended by the manufacturer.

Everything we read seemed to indicate a solid stainless steel body. It is not. The ignitor switch was broken upon arrival and although Napoleon replaced it quickly, the unit was cheaply made to begin with. For the price, it is not at all what we expected. The grill itself is fine and will probably service us well, but I was looking for something that would last for decades with some items on it naturally having to be replaced, but the body is like every other average grill on the market and will eventually rust. Also, the instructions were very poor and it took us far longer to assemble than I would have expected. All in all, just disappointed.

Discount Burnout II 1 Gallon Concentrate Burn Out

Burnout II 1 Gallon Concentrate Burn Out
Customer Ratings: 3.5 stars

I live somewhat in the boonies. I've a forever-long U gravel driveway. I first tried weeding it it literally is an all-weekend long job (well, 6 hours one day, 5 or 6 the next). Weeding made it somewhat worse as the seeds just get distributed around. As I'm out in nature, I've lots of wildlife and I have no intentions of using any product that would injure the natives, so I went the natural route in my attempt to control the weeds. This included many vinegar concoctions as well as some other organic mostly-citric acid products. I first tried Burnout II because they sold it in larger concentrated bottles and it just isn't economical to buy the little 32-ouce bottles when a keg is needed.

To be fair, I've really given this stuff a chance. I've purchased 6 of the gallon bottles over as many months. I mix it exactly as the instructions say, and apply it exactly as the instructions say. If I could find something else in bulk that was organic, I'd switch in a heartbeat. This stuff is OK at best. It works relatively well on broad-leaf weeds, but only so-so on small grasses. I understand it is not a systemic, and doesn't stop seeds from germinating. What I also understand is that it is $60 a gallon and often does a better job at killing my wallet than my weeds. All in all it has only reduced my workload by about 50%; I still need to weed out all those this won't kill, I still need to attend to the weeds every few weeks, and frankly, I'm not sure it is any more effective than a strong vinegar solution which costs 1/3 as much. So, take that for what it's worth.

Worked on purslane. Not thistle, grass or mugwort. Bought 2 bottles concentrate and increased doses as I reapplied. Too expensive to continue. Going back to vinegar and dish soap!

Best Deals for Burnout II 1 Gallon Concentrate Burn Out

This weed killer worked really well after the first application, but some of the weeds came back about a month later. I called the company that makes it and talked to a chemist there who explained why. It only kills the surface of the weeds. It's not a systemic weed killer, which is why it's safer than many others and can be used around food plants. I'll keep using it for that reason. After a second treatment, many of the weeds didn't come back but some did. It won't kill everything, but it sure knocks them down. You have to shake it up really well before pouring it out of the container. After adding the water, make sure to shake it up well again, and while you're using it too. Otherwise it might clog your sprayer. It did that the first time I used it, not realizing I had to keep shaking the container. It totally clogged my old air pressure sprayer. Had to go buy a better one and made sure I cleaned it really well afterwards.

Honest reviews on Burnout II 1 Gallon Concentrate Burn Out

I've been battling weeds, including a lot of grass, on a long gravel driveway, and I've tried all sorts of vinegar-based concoctions. They work fine but I would have to buy so many gallons to equal what I can get from 1 gallon of concentrate that it made it worth the financial trade-off--less plastic waste in terms of bottles, less work getting and using the endless gallons of vinegar, and also I feel that the results are longer lasting with the burnout. There's a pretty effective recipe for vinegar, salt, and dishwashing liquid, but the work and smell of heating the vinegar and dissolving the salt means I'd only want to do this for a small job. Yes, for grass you often need to respray, as some other reviewers mentioned. But it cut my work down to about 20% of what I was doing before. And I don't mind the clove smell, and for me, it dissipated in a few days.

Well, these are the exact replacements and fit the grill perfectly and these were $25 cheaper than what I have found elsewhere. The first mistake was buying a cheap grill to replace my 10 year old Weber and ended up with a POS that is made in China. What a great grill! I used it 4 times now and it's the best small gas grill I have ever used (and I am a grill-a-holic). The quick connect hose that comes with the grill works great with my Jayco TT that came equiped with the quick connect fitting underneath. Sure is cost effective not having to use those small LP cylinders. So far I have not found any hot spots, but I do use a piece of aluminum foil on top of the cast iron drip plate which makes cleaning a snap! Priced at just over $200.00, shipping included, it was the best bargain I found anywhere.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

I bought this after much experience with Blue Rhino, Weber, and others. They were all too big, too small, too heavy, too cold, difficult to clean, low quality, all kinds of faults.

With the Camco, I've found a "sweet spot". It's big enough, light enough, hot enough, and just-barely okay-priced (for me).

Pros: small/compact but enough cooking area, light weight, great heat, well-built; A unique and effective cast-iron cooking grate under the grill.

Cons: needs a regulator for using a propane tank; quirky base/stand for free-standing operation, finicky spark-lighting adjustment

The Weber Q200 was the best grill I've owned prior to this. Fairly even heat with a large cast-iron grill. But BIG, and HEAVY, it took up way too much space in my RV storage locker. The Camco fits CROSSWISE in the same cargo space and takes up 1/4 of the space for 3/4 of the cooking area. The Weber, despite its huge cast-iron grill, did have hot and cold spots. But the Camco has the cast iron just above the burner, where it effectively spreads the heat out evenly and uniformly, about 1.5" under the cooking grill.

The Camco grill is easy to remove and replace. The cast-iron heat grate is a pain, you can't fit your fingers under it and still get it in or out. As a consequence, you end up using a screwdriver (or something) to lever it out, and then you tend to drop it in not a good idea on the spot-riveted mounting brackets, which will eventually break loose under the repeated banging. I think what I'm going to do is drill out two of the holes in the grate to finger-size so I can get the grate in and out without a "tool".

Mounting: the vertical/horizontal mounting brackets simply engage a 1/2" rod-set; elegant and simple. You do have to hold the 25-pound BBQ for a few extra seconds to get the rods aligned and engaged. But this is better than setting that 40-pound Weber down into the feet-slots on its table, and easier on my back. Also, this mounting system just begs for innovation in a custom designed setup, and I'm dreaming of different ways to make a free-standing base that works a little better and is just a bit higher.

Storing: well, it's strange all right. The bottom of the unit is V-shaped, which makes for fantastic draining and cleanup, but is a pain for just sitting down on a flat surface. So you can store it on its back edge (and listen to all the clanging and banging as the internal parts bash around) and have the remaining grease in the drip pan drool out the side. Or you can build up a little wooden cradle to rest it in (my current idea), or maybe a short-rod-rack to engage the mounting brackets. I'm still cogitating on this one. Bothersome issue, but once solved it'll be fine.

All in all, I like what I've got, and look forward to a lot of outdoor cooking on it. I'll have to experiment, as with any new tool, to find the right settings and times -that's part of the fun. I gave it 5 stars because, although it has a few idiosyncrasies to deal with, and is far from perfect, a 4-star rating was just too harsh.

UPDATE October 2013

I'm still happy with this grill, moreso because I've made a custom stand for it. I used the stock steel bars and mounting points, but I drilled out some oak planks to create a slender, lightweight base. The bars and planks pivot just enough to mate all 4 feet on any flat or uneven surface. An extra bonus is that a 10-pound propane cylinder fits right under the grill and above the base, making an excellent space-efficient setup.

We've got a camping trip this weekend with a crowd of 11 for dinner. This grill seemed perfect, that is until we mounted it to the camper. The tack welds for the cover and the burner broke upon installation. Even if the grill makes a great steak or burger, it's hard to justify $200 for something so poorly made.

1 year later: From 1 star to 2 stars. We got our replacement with no hassle. The second grill was constructed much better. However, we bought this grill because we liked the stainless steel look. Upon first use, it turned brown on the outside because it runs so hot. The entire grill is brown and black now. It's very hard to regulate the temperature. Use your money to buy something else.

After unpacking and separating the parts, I started to read the assembly directions. I quickly noticed that the welding spots on the grill were broken. The welding spots were very small and inadequate for the size and weight of the grill. The prior reviews did mention this, but I thought I would give it a try. The welding spots that came loose were in two places. 1) At the bottom where there is a piece of medal that you put a screw into that holds the burner. 2) On the grill lid, there is a plate that it attaches to which pivots the lid open and closed. This plate had weld spots that came lose, so the grill lid would not stay attached to the grill.

I should have returned it, but the box was in bad shape and didn't want to mess with the hassle of returning a large box. So I spent 5 hours instead drilling holes and screws into the parts where the welds were broken. After I was done, I should have just returned it.

I did hook it up to my camper and it did light and looks like it will work just fine now, if the screws I added will hold up to the heat. If they don't, it goes in the trash and I am going to buy a Weber and find a quick connect attachment somewhere.
