Doesn't work as well as I'd hoped. The handle doesn't attach and detach easily on the hot grill. Since we want to keep smaller items from falling through the grill and to be able to close the grill lid during cooking, that made it less useful.

I bought three of these for a company event. We will be cooking french fries for 200-300 people so I opted for the 15 qt fryer. They shipped separately and came from at least two vendors. All three of the frying pots were damaged on arrival. There is not ample packaging material to keep the parts from banging around in the box. The fryers do not sit flat on the ground. The side tables fall off if you move the unit once assembled. So watch your toes. As is probably clear, I was unimpressed with the construction of the fryers.

I must admit that they do seem to work well. The 54000 btu burner seems to be very capable of keeping the oil temperature at temp even while cooking two baskets of tater tots. These three did not have the infamous King Kooker "safety" pressure regulators that require you to push the button every 15 minutes or the flame goes off. I was extremely glad about this.

Overall, this product seems to function reasonably well but I am a bit disappointed in the fit and finish. I am also disappointed to have 3/3 frying pots damaged. That doesn't seem to be a good batting average. I can't send them back as the event is this week so I guess I am just stuck with them.

I order two of this equipment and both of them bad shape, One of the worst boxing/packaging. I even let the FedEx guy see. The box is broken every corner and part of the equipment is visible, In side Rectangular Aluminum Fry Pan bended/danged. I was very disappointed and upset. I want this equipment for coming event so I'm very concern.

Pros: I really shopped around, and decided the side tables were a most. And they are. The unit goes together and comes apart for storage quit easily, and is well made. The regulator works well, and controls the flame from a purr to a roaring blase.

Cons: The pot, and basket are made of fairly light gauge aluminum, and in fact the pot came dented. A lid would also had been a nice addition.

Used it for the first time this past weekend for a fish and fries fry. Loved it, except that the flame went out 3 times while cooking. No idea why. Everything was tight, flange was open for O2, and it wasn't windy. Has a great height, not like a lot of those bend over outdoor burners. The two baskets are great.

This has a good flame, and I find the childproof lock less onerous than most; however, it's paired up with a can of Zippo lighter fluid in the "bought together" section. This, foolishly on my part, led me to believe it was 1. refillable (it isn't) and 2. not butane (it is).

I bought this product on June 7th and a month later, it would not light up. I can see the spark going so my only guess is that it ran out of gas/fluid whatever it's using. I used it 20 times to turn on our citronella torches. That's 2-3 seconds per time? I left a msg for the seller, let's see what happens. Other than that, the product is great.

I bought this set of grill tools thinking they would be a great starter set for me (at the price point). It turns our they are much better made than you'd think at this price. They came in a flimsy plastic box, that I do use to store them because I have nothing better, but I didn't want to pay a premium for a better box. The tools work as well as expected, and the extra-long handles ensures that I don't singe off all the hairs on my knuckles, which is always a nice bonus. I haven't used the fork quite yet, but I'm sure I will. The other four tools have a lot of grilling sessions on them already.

I run the tools through the dishwasher (with the exception of the grill brush/scraper) after each use, and they have yet to show even the slightest sign of wear.

I did find a single problem with these tools when they arrived. They all have little metal loops at the end which can be used to hang them up. Well, apparently they are more like C's that clamp down on the tool, into grooves. One of the tools had a loose metal piece that was more like an open C when the ends should be together within the handle of the tool. I placed it on a table sideways and applied some downward pressure, the piece has been sturdily attached to the handle ever since. 2 minutes of work max.

I'd highly recommend this product, only defect found was a 2 min, permanent fix!

I've owned these for about a year now and they've been great! I didn't expect much for the price but I've been pleasantly surprised by their performance. I'm able throw them all in the dishwasher without any issues. The grill brush works great on my propane grill. The tongs are a bit difficult to use since I have small hands but that's my only complaint about this set.

I don't grill a ton but I do grill several times a month during spring and summer. These had held up well and I would highly recommend them.

I've only had this cover for a couple weeks, so I can't comment yet on its durability. However, I'm very impressed with what I've seen so far.

1) i'm using this to cover four stacked high-back chairs so I can can verify the cover fits with room on the sides to spare.

2) the fabric feels durable almost like a soft canvas. It sheds water very well.

3) the bottom of the cover is elasticized, so I haven't yet had to use the velcro straps to hold the cover in place.

I would recommend this cover to others.

I love grilling both charcoal and gas. I used to have a Weber kettle, but wasn't overly thrilled with the 3 leg stand. I didn't want the bigger Performer either the table was just too big since I have a gas grill on my deck already. This was the perfect solution. The build quality is near perfect. I love the design and quality workmanship. I will note, however, that there was a problem with it. A screw to hold the handle to the lid was missing and one of the nuts inside the leg that holds the kettle in place popped out. I was and am disappointed in that. I called Weber and they said they would take care of everything. That was about a week ago and I am starting to get concerned. I will stay on them though. Other than that, the product is fantastic. Update: the lady I spoke with at Weber was very nice, but she must have been new.I called back a week later after I didn't get a promised confirmation email and she didn't enter the work order correctly. At great expense to Weber, they overnighted all the parts I needed and then some. Now, I just need to get rid of the snow! This grill is nice.

This grill does not disappoint. This is classic Weber quality from design to execution. The assembly takes a person about an hour doing it easy and slow, while I could imagine someone doing it faster, I do not recommend it. All the parts fit so well, I must say it is a pleasure almost feels like play instead of work. This version of the Performer series has the side table in steel, which is why I got it instead of the Gold & Platinum series, which has a hard resin or plastic table. The essentials are clearly all there, including an ash tray, side table, hooks for utensil, and a grate that folds on the sides for easy access to charcoal when doing indirect cooking. The assembled product is so cute yet exudes durability. We shopped around for both this and the German designed Rosle, but decided on Weber and we are very happy these are made in USA.

I've had mine now for a few days and the first thing that impressed me was the fit and finish and how well thought out the design was. Every screw has a threaded sleeve in a perfectly placed hole the screw is designed to go into. The materials through and through are top notch and while assembly does take about an hour it wields a very solid and durable finished piece.

I've gotten hooked on Cast Iron Grill Grates and decided to give both the Weber Performer a try and the additional available Gourmet Barbecue System with a specialized grate with a pull out insert that allows for using a decent variety of optional cast iron cooking implements, so I got the Cast Iron Sear Grill which had the additional benefit of being covered in Porcelain Enamel.

I didn't think I'd be writing another Charcoal Grill review this quickly. Last year I was thrilled about the Chargrill Wrangler I had just gotten. While it grilled and smoked great its cast iron grates were a rust haven that were a maintenance nightmare and its thin coat of enamel exterior paint flaked and peeled under high heats making the rest of the grill a rust haven too.

The Porcelain Enamel Cast Iron Grate is rust resistant, much easier to clean than a full sized cast iron grate and still heats up to retain high temperatures for searing in that juicy flavor.

The fold down work table can hold 20 pounds of weight and provides enough room to manage most of what you want to put on and take off the grill. It tucks away nicely for storage and the one touch ash removal system cuts down on a lot of the prep time and mess between one grilling sessions to the next.

The Webber grill really offers a lot of flexible options, if you don't mind buying those additional accessories you can use it for a wide variety of roasting, smoking, frying, grilling and even baking. Most of the cons I've read about the grill and the Gourmet barbecue system can be overcome as long as you have the right Webber accessories to properly use them. Outfitting the grill with all the available and handy accessories might set you back another 300.00 over the purchase price, but it's an investment well worth it if you're serious about barbecue, grilling and outdoor cooking.

It seems built to last and I'm thinking it will be a few years before I'll be writing another grill review.

I used mine today and here is what I saw.

You can rotate but you cannot flip the kabob to the right place. It will go back itself. Therefore, one side exposed to the fire more than the other side.

The design of the set doesn't allow you to flip the kabob 180%. They should have made the stick flat, so when you flip, it won't turn back automatically.

3.5 stars to be exact.

Of the three I ordered, one one broken off out the box; but these fit so tight in the Kirkland grill I didn't worry about it. Works great. These burners have a small 3/16 threaded stud at the half circle bend used to attach them to the grill frame. These studs were barely holding on with a tiny welded bead, so I welded them a little more before I install these, because I was afraid the studs would simply break off when I would tighten the nuts on the studs.

Otherwise, burners fit perfectly, look great and appear to be of good quality.

These were for "The Classic" model 720-0021 made by NexGrill and sold by Costo in 2004-2005.

If you do not reinforced these stud welds, do not tighten them strongly, and you should be OK.

Just like all the reviews said, the screw was held on by a tiny drop of solder. Mine arrived broken. I didn't bother swapping it out for a new one, because, just by looking at it, the risk of the 2nd one arriving broken was 99%. If it were packed better, this might have scored better. But get ready to flip a coin on whether or not it will arrive in one piece.

ordered three heat plates and three burners for my kirkland grill.the heat plates were a tight fit but work great.the only problem with the burners is that one of them had the mounting stud broken off and the other two had poor welds. rather than send them back for exchange i took them to a local shop and had them welded.problem solved.cookin critters.

I was eagerly waiting to receive this grill, but when i received it and opened the box I was truly disappointed. First there were couple of areas where the steel of the grill was dented including the spot where the lid hinges are located, and it was obvious this was not from shipping. Upon assembly I noticed immediately that the build quality is not that good either. The housing on the side where the ignition button is located is only mounted on the body of the grill using two screws, which seemed too weak to support the weight of the portable gas bottle once attached hence the whole assembly was wobbly. Once the bottle was attached and the included battery was inserted, it took few minutes for the spark to come on and the infrared burner to light up. Once i finally got the grill going I noticed that the heat was not as expected. It was only when I manually pressed and held down the knob on the regulator the burner came to life, but it faded down again once released. I live in New Zealand and it is too expensive to send the grill back, so I will carry on trying to make it work somehow. I strongly advice against buying this product. I have no other experiences with other Solair products, but the type of faults I saw can only tell a story about the manufacturer.

There are no other grills other than infrared. And there are no other infrareds other than Solaire. You have NOT tasted grilled food before if you have never sampled from infrared grilled fare. The grill os perfectly constructed, assembled in roughly ten minutes, and ten minutes later I was grilling seasoned ribeyes and soaked corn on the cob. The quality is absolutely perfect. This grill will be here in years, providing memories and meals for a long, long time. I work long hours in the oilfield, so I make the most of my home time. I bought this as a portable, but I use it several times a week in the driveway, or my patio, occasionally my garage when it rains, etc. And when I do leave home, I pop that sucker in the trunk, or the trucks toolbox, and minutes from arrival I am a grill hero. Heats and cooks so fast, that when my crew meets my production goals, I will grill up lunch for them within our half hour lunch breaks. Unbeatable.

This is hands down the best grill that I have ever owned. It is very well built and the food that we have cooked has been wonderful. My only complaint is that the conversion from LP to natural gas was not simple. The instructions for the conversion are a little on the light side (e.g. there are no pictures), but I did manage to get it done. It did, however, cost me around $100 for parts that aren't included. So be aware, you will need to purchase a natural gas hose and various fittings to get it hooked up. I was also hoping that I might be able to switch easily from natural gas to propane, but that is not the case. Now that it's all hooked up, the grill works great and we use it at least 2-3 times a week.

Cheap Baking / Pizza Stone for Big Green Egg Grill.

We no longer buy take out pizza or frozen pizza because this pizza stone makes THE BEST pizza! Armed with the right pizza dough (I went through 4 or 5 recipes before finding the one in Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day: The Discovery That Revolutionizes Home Baking), making pizza is a breeze. My husband, who is a pizza lover, has finally approved my homemade pizzas! While we love the green egg, I will also use this stone in my oven. I will set the oven to 550 degrees, and let it sit in the oven for about an hour to make sure the stone is heated through. When I remove my pizza from the stone, the crust comes out crisp on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. I had the Pampered Chef pizza stone, and the intructions that came with this stone stated not to put the stone in an oven higher than 450 degrees. The Pampered Chef stone is very thin, and I guess may crack under high heat. The pizzas never came out tasting the same as they do on the Big Green Egg stone. I now always keep pizza dough and various pizza ingredients on hand for last minute meals or unexpected company. The cost to make homemade pizza is a fraction of what you would spend buying from the store. This stone will pay for itself after a few pizzas and it will produce the best tasting pizzas.

As far as pizza stones go this one is high quality. I let the Big Green Egg go past 700 degrees and this pizza stone didn't care. I've used it to make a couple pizzas and calzones already and despite nicking it on the side of the BGE a couple times it hasn't chipped or anything. I did notice that with semi aggressive scraping though that I could wear it down.
