I have one and love it. But We served vegy's over the summer with it with family and friends and they all loved it so I bought it for all my family as a gift for the holidays.

I've used this basket a few times. The vents in the bottom allow the heat and smoke to rise thru to cook the vegetables and perhaps infuse with a smoky flavor, if that is what's desired. I find that the vents give the food something else to cling to and stick to the bottom. I tried doing zucchini like they showed in the photograph. Maybe I cut it too thinly, but I had to peel most of the pieces off and they were too torn up to serve. The basket's painted, coated surface does not allow "seasoning" with oil like cast iron does, although it is easy to clean. I think that Broil King ought to include the handle complimentary with the basket, maybe for $2 or $3 more. Otherwise, it is over-priced.

I grill 4 or 5 times a week. Got tired of veggies (even shrimp) falling through grate. This basket is PERFECT. It measures 14.5' x 8.75". My grill is round 16" diameter. The basket fits nicely, with room for my steak, chop or chicken. Veggies don't stick while grilling. Clean-up is a piece of cake. What more can I say?!? I was concerned because it didn't have a handle, like other baskets. But no problem. I just use an oven mitt to pick it up or give it a little shake. Highly recommended. I'M A HAPPY GRILLER !!!!

This did exactly as it is suppose to do. Easy to clean. Vegetables do not stick to pan.

The quick grip handle that comes with works okay, it is hard to get the handle off is the only problem I've had.
