Best Char-Broil 463269011 Rugo Two Burner Infrared Grill Deals
I saw this model very favorably reviewed in the latest Consumer Reports. The size and price were perfect for our limited use. Now it's assembled and we've cooked on it a number of times, we're extremely happy with everything about it. It cooks beef, pork, shrimp, hamburgers and ribs quickly, yet in a controlled manner. The only down-sides I can report would be assembly. The instructions started out very detailed and accurate, but toward the end, they get a bit vague and I had to depend on intuition and common sense. It took the whole afternoon, but I'm sure it is correctly assembled. There were some chafed areas where the finish had been rubbed thin, but overall the packing was very complete. The infrared method appears to be an improvement over the flame method of cooking. The flame is there, but it never touches the meal and the cooking area seems to heat much quicker and can go much hotter, if desired. The cooking area is totally satisfactory for a meal for four. I'd recommend the grill on the basis of price, appearance and performance to anyone.Bought one pre assembled at Lowe's and was initially quite happy. Especially after the cooking grates were nicely black and seasoned. However after having it stored and protected for the winter I found that the ignition switch bracket cracked and broke, the rivets holding the tool holder inside the door rusted and broke off, and one of the thermometers is broken. I live in western Washington, so our winters are pretty mild, so I find this pretty disappointing. I take excellent care of my toys, and having spent over $400 on a grill and accessories only to have it fall apart in less than a year is extremely annoying.
