Smoked some ribs this weekend using these. I like them, however they don't seem to hold a fire. By that, I mean you can't just toss these on some hot coals of ones you previously threw in and expect it to start burning like other woods will. I had to toss some charcoals in with them to get them started or it would've just died. Next time I will add some hickory wood chunks with it and see how it goes. As far as the ribs, they came out with a great smoked flavor.
