The baskets are OK; I would not rely on the non-stick coating as stuff still sticks; easily solved with a light application of cooking oil. Pretty handy for turning over food that might be too small to put directly on the grill. I used these on a gas grill so I could not close the lid to keep the heat up.

The metal clip holding the top to the rest of the basket is pretty flimsy; count on having to replace it fairly soon with a wire (hint: a paperclip straightened out and then wrapped through the end works quite well).

I used the Kabob baskets and the meat stuck to the wire. I sprayed them with Pam the second time I used them and the meat stuck. After 20 minutes of scrubbing I threw them in the trash.

purchased these thinking that i would no longer have to use those wooden disposable skewers, but i was very wrong. these are poorly made and for some reason designed to have the metal wrap around the handle (metal conducts heat and this nonthreatening wooden handle is quite deceptive). Also the food sticks like crazy to the baskets, and the worst part is that most shish kabob ingredients don't come close to fitting in the basket. whole button mushrooms don't even come close to fitting. I used them twice and then tossed them for the Cabinet space

I used these to prepare kabobs for guests the weekend after they arrived. Most veggie items did not fit well in the baskets, so I ended up just doing the meat in the baskets and doing the veggies in a saute pan made especially for the grill (which is nice, because it allows you to add veggies in stages based upon the cooking time required). The baskets are anything other than non-stick, even when pre-coated with cooking spray. The thin connecting hinges used to hold the top of the baskets to the base parts are worthless and expand when heated. They failed on all of the baskets half-way through cooking and fell off. Luckily the metal slide used to secure the tops to the bases after filling kept the baskets secure until cooking was completed, but the hinge pieces had to be reconstructed with pliers after cleaning. Cleaning was a nightmare. Because the non-stick feature was useless, the baskets required a TON of scrubbing. Scrub sponges and brushes made especially for non-stick coated cookware were completely ineffective, and I resorted to something more abrasive, which ended up removing the "non-stick" finish in several areas. The baskets were so difficult and time consuming to clean, that I considered just throwing them away after finishing the first one. I pursued the chore, however, because I hate wasting money that way. I spent at least 20 minutes (probably more) scrubbing the baskets AFTER having let them soak overnight, which negates one of the primary features of BBQing the ease of clean-up. After having toiled over their cleaning and having reconstructed the hinges on them, I placed them in the cabinet with the sad feeling that probably I will never use them again because it was such a negative experience. I'll probably throw them away in the future when I'm making room in the cabinets.

The non-stick feature does not work well. I have used them now four times. Each time the cleanup takes forever. I have tried oiling the grills, etc. but the food always sticks.
