On the plus side:
Good overall design.
Stable base.
Easy to regulate heat
Holds temperature well.
The included thermometer has a large, easy-to-read dial and was accurately calibrated.
Baskets are deep and made of commercial quality, heavy-duty steel.
Holds one entire typical 35-pound container of cooking oil.
On the negative side:
Unit arrived with a BIG dent on one corner of the base unit.
One of the fry baskets was not welded correctly.
All hardware (screws, washers, and nuts) was completely missing.
Conclusion:
Great design, just extremely poor quality control.
Order early in case you need to return, repair, or obtain missing parts (as we did) before using it.
We love this thing. Just wish we didn't have to be bothered with gerry-rigging the basket, making a trip to the hardware store to buy screws, etc., and eventually exchanging it for another unit without dents!

I purchased this cooker for frying fish, hushpuppies, fries, and appetizers when entertaining company. I liked the v bottomed design and faucet drain. The cooker is quiet, but somewhat slow to reach the desired 350 degree temperature. My major complaints are: the location of the burner inlet hose (directly in front), hose too-short, and the idiotic timed shut-off device which I will remove before using again. It is difficult to remember to reset the device while in the middle of cooking; therefore having to re-light, and wait for the temperature to rebound. I haven't transported the cooker yet, but can see that the thermometer could easily be broken if bumped.Best Deals for King Kooker 2292 "V" Bottom Deluxe Multi-Purpose Portable Propane
This is a great product and is as advertised. I would like to have more time to use it but that is another story.Honest reviews on King Kooker 2292 "V" Bottom Deluxe Multi-Purpose Portable Propane

Shipping this thing arrived bent, smashed up, and with screws/bolts that had backed out of the hinges. Had to do a couple hours of work along with some hammering with wood blocks to straighten everything up enough to use (wanted to use it for that weekend.)The fryer works just fine, however there are a couple of annoying things about it. You basically have to get on your hands and knees to see the flame and figure out adjustments. This fryer also takes batteries for its silly safety feature that cuts the gas off at the tank if you don't press the button every 15 minutes. I understand the need for the feature but you can't tell (without crouching down to check the flame) if its shut you off, and you don't know when it's about to cut you off. (A beep or some other warning before shutting your fryer down would be much appreciated.)
If you're frying lots of breaded items, this cooker will fill up with crumb and start to burn and discolor your fat. The spigot is a plastic-y piece of junk and when filled with crumb it drains slooooooow.
TL;DR: With full hindsight I would have purchased the bayou classic fryer.
