The pot, strainer basket and lid are generally good and of satisfactory quality. The bottom of the pot, at least, could be made of thicker metal in order to better conduct heat evenly. The side handles of the pot are riveted and also apparently electro spot welded so should be no threat to ever come loose or detach. However,the handles design is such that the handles are too close to the pot to gain comfortably firm grip while using heat insulating gloves or pot holders. This may be critical consideration if the pot is ever attempted to be moved while the large volume pot contains hot liquids, etc. So, don't think of moving the pot while hot. The radius of the pot bottom matches up nicely with the square top or the propane burner which was acquired as part of a turkey fryer outfit. This fit is important to the stability of the pot and burner when in use. CAUTION: For any cooking set up It is wise to consider that a pot of this size capable of holding such large volume will be very heavy when in actual use. Assured stability of burners and pot combined on solid foundations are critical safety considerations .Looking forward to many seafood and corn boils using this item.
