I bought this to use on my pop up camper with my portable BBQ. Just put the "T" directly to your propane tank BEFORE the regulator. Then attach the regulator to the "T". Then connect the supplied gas line to whatever you would normally screw a disposable cylinder onto. Turn on the gas and you're in business. In my case, it was my the grill. The grill has it's own regulator which is why this unit is perfect. I learned the hard way that you can't put a regulated grill after a regulator on a propane tank. Now I don't need to mess around with my grill regulator and I can still use it with the throw away cylinders when I'm not hooking it up to my camper.
One other note, this behaves just like a throw away cylinder. The "T" will not spew propane without the hose connected, even with the cap unscrewed. It's internally checked, as is the hose. For liability reasons, I'm not recommending that anyone do this, I just did it because I needed to know what would happen if someone forgot to turn off the gas before connecting/disconnecting it. I was able to turn on the propane tank with the hose disconnected.(nothing came out) Then I screwed on the hose.(the hose filled but nothing came out) Finally I screwed the hose onto the grill. Done...no propane spills.
I also got in the habit of turning off the tank and allowing the grill to burn off the propane left inside the hose before I disconnected it.
If the hose was another 5 feet longer, I would have been able to put my grill right next to my stove while it's hanging on the side of the camper.

The 59103 Camco Tee and Hose combo is at about half the cost as compared to anywhere else.Parts appear to be of good quality and fit perfectly. The only very small downside is that when you refill your tank you can no longer remove the tank by hand. (You will have to use a wrench) This is a very small inconvience that is hardly worth considering.
