I purchased this as a replacement for the weber rotisserie motor on the charcoal kettle model. One thing I noticed was that the spit does not go into the motor as deep. This did not allow the spit to sit in it's groved areas on the rotisserie ring. The spit was about 1/2 inch too long when used with this motor. I ended up clipping off the excess from the end of the spit. It now works fine. But I would not say that the motor would be a good replacement if you are not willing to modify your spit. Other than that, the motor seems to work fine.

I bought this rotisserie motor to use on my fishing rod winding table.
A lot cheaper than the regular rod winding motors available and it does the job with no problems.
