I purchased this item at a local store for less than $18. I've used it twice and it works great. Still picked up a signal through several walls and pretty far too. It has preset temps for many different meats but you can manually set the temp if you want. Alarm goes off once set temp is reached. Also includes timer which can count down or count up.
