I own a Brinkmann 810-4675 (6 burner) gas grill which was purchased in 2008. It originally came with six 4"W x 12.5"L PCS (porcelain covered steel) heating tents and three 12"W x 17"L PCCI (porcelain covered cast iron) cooking grates. After 4 years of heavy use during grilling season...the stainless steel exterior is holding up well...but it was time to replace the now rusting interior parts...mainly the "tents" and "cooking grates".

I started looking around for stainless steel replacements in hopes that they would last longer than the PCS & PCCI parts. After measuring my grill's interior heat box so that I could shop for alternate replacement parts...I saw these stainless steel heating plates which would fit the length & width of the fire box if I purchased 3 of them. (I also found that three 12"W x 17"L Weber 7527 stainless steel cooking grates also work as exact fit replacements).

After my first few uses...I've found that these stainless steel heating plates fit and work excellent. Their design and construction are A+ and create a much better protection from flare-ups as well as creating a more consistent radiant heating surface versus the old 6 individual heating tents.

One caveat...be careful handling them when you first get them in case there is a spur left from creating the slits & holes in the plates that allow for drainage. I drew blood when I was washing them prior to usage and sliced my thumb.

I highly recommend these heating plates...I give them 2 thumbs up.

At first they looked like a US company got the idea to make a nice stainless replacement for Kenmore (chinese) grills. I was wrong as I got an identical replacement of the one that burned and rusted out in just 2 years in a box stamped made in china. It looks like some sort of carbon steel with a black (porcelain ?) coating on it. I'm keeping them, but as soon as these burn and rust out, I'm going to purchase a new Weber gill and scrap the rust-prone Kenmore.

I don't know why I didn't buy these sooner. My old grates rusted out years ago and I kept using them despite the fact that they were full of holes and causing a lot of flare ups.

After installing these it eliminated the flare ups and also saved me a TON of gas as now I can turn the burners down way low and still get the heat up high, where as with the old rusted out grates I had to run all the burners on high just to get to a decent cooking temp.

These are the best investment I have made on my grill ever! I recommend anyone contemplating replacing the cheap porcelain coated grates, to go with these as they'll last forever and work amazing! PS you only need 2 of these grates to replace the 3 narrower one than come with the grill.

The part itself fits fine. Not much else to say (it'll be a few years, hopefully, before I can say anything about durability).

But: don't make the mistake I made. I needed TWO of these to replace the heat plate (plates? the old rusted one(s) came out as one unit) in my grill. Measure and see how many you need.
