A convenience item, if you grill a lot. Alternatively, it would be great for pet food IF it's food-safe, but I'm not certain about that. The plastic is stiff and sturdy. Once on, the lid is challenging to remove, but you want it that way so the charcoal doesn't push it open as you pour through the flip-open section.

$19+ is crazy-expensive though -it was less than $12 at a LOcal hardWarE Store chain.

I just bought this great charcoal container for $11.00 at Lowes. Pricing must be way off here. I like like container, does what it is supposed to, but I would never pay over fifty bucks for it! As I said, this pricing must be a mistake.

I bought this a few years ago for my grill crazy husband. He usually grills dinner about 4-5 times a week. I needed to find something easy and fool proof as he would often forget to bring the bag of charcoal in and of course it would rain and ruin the bag. So I randomly found this at Target and snatched it up. He has used it so much that after years of abuse it has finally cracked (literally). I am also buying one for my grill crazy father! We love it and above all it works...no more ruined bags of charcoal!

US Plastics makes the Buddeez Kingsford and Big Daddy dispenser. These containers make transporting a 40lb bag of wood pellets very easy. The hinged lid controls how fast the wood pellets pour into the stove's hopper and reduces the amount of dust "blown upward" during the pour. Better yet, no more wrestling with a 40lb bag of pellets!
