This little grill has some nice features like the hinged top and an ash catcher. However I don't like the way the legs are attached to the bottom by a friction fit spring. It's hard to discribe, but the legs fit into small tubes attached to the underside of the kettle and are supposed to be held in place by little springs that push against the inner diameter of the tubes. The problem is that when one liftes the grill by the front handle to move it, the weight of the front legs is more than the spring tension can overcome and they always slip out. Not a big deal unless you have hot charcoal going at the time and it spills all over you or the ground or your new deck when you finally let go of the handle. If you are handy you can remove the spring and drill a small hole through the leg joins for a screw to attach the legs to their tubes, and that would fix the problem. You might also pinch the tube to create more friction in the leg join fit, but that's a sloppy solution in my opinion. Also, be aware that as outdoor grills go this one is small, which could be an advantage if you have limited needs and space as I do. I estimate that with care it could last two or three seasons in good shape, or more if it is put in garage storage and seldom used. I also recommend that you fire up the grill once before cooking anything to be sure the enamel is completely cured. Good luck, and have a nice Summer.

Overall, this is a well designed small charcoal barbecue. Yes, the legs could have been designed with a better attachment between upper and lower legs. Duct tape will solve that problem easily. Assembly is another matter. The booklet, in three languages, does a good job of identifying how many of each part are there, but there is potential confusion of the sizes of the small parts. There are three small lock washers included that are not described anywhere in the instructions, and they are leftovers. The sequence of assembly is fairly logical, but the instructions just are not user friendly. I had to assemble the ash collection unit three times before it was right. This is a sturdy unit for its size. There are other less-expensive units this size available, but this is a better value in my estimation.Vortex 18 Inch Standing Charcoal GrillBest Deals for Vortex 18 Inch Standing Charcoal Grill
Received and tried to put together. Realized missing charcoal plate (the one holds charcoal on the bottom). And a few (my wife told me 4 exactly) spots' paint already off.Would not recommend this product!
