The bottle stopper which controls the flow of oil to the brushes pops out too easily causing the oil in the bottle to empty rapidly. This drops too much oil on the grill causing a tremendous flair up and wastes oil. The silicon brushes, however, do do a good job oiling the grill.

It looks like a good idea but received terrible reviews. I saw the same one with a red brush and vent top instead of yellow also says Sur La Table instead of SR at Sur La Table called the Sur La Table® Grill-Grate Oiler for $8.99 plus shipping I thought I would give it a try.
