This grill was purchased to avoid using gas or charcoal....love the convenience of just turning it on and quite satisfied with the results but now wish I had gotten the rectangular model. The lack of a hinged lid is awkward and the round shape makes it a bit difficult to do shish kabobs (or maybe I need to get shorter skewers) For what it is though, it performs great and is ideal for steaks, burgers, hot dogs etc.This is my second one . This one is for back up, so I will never be with out one!,,
