This is one solid piece of metal, with no rivets, screws, or weld marks to collect food and debris. There is a black rubber insert under the handle to make it easier to grip. The hook on the end is the perfect length to flip down and hold the grip off the surface it is resting on.The only downside is that barbecue forks are really not very useful, despite being included in almost every tool collection. Stabbing the meat while it is on the hot grill is a surefire way of releasing all of the moisture from the food.
I do have one of these, but I mainly use it to move my foil smoking packets off the charcoal. It works well for that.
