These grilling planks are simple to use--just soak them in water for a couple of hours and then put the lucky fish or meat item onto them and grill away!
I used them for grilling a large salmon fillet, and it turned out delicious! When the planks and fish came off of the grill, the smoky cedar aroma made my mouth water. The fish turned out flaky and moist.
However, these planks have a couple of cons that I wish I had understood beforehand.
1. They are made in China.
2. They are not meant to be reusable, and they cost over four dollars each so they are a bit of a splurge.
However, I do recommend giving them a try, especially if you enjoy learning new grilling techniques or have been looking for an easy way to grill fish. Not only are they easy to use, they come with delicious recipes that make you seem like a skilled chef. My family hates fish but when I use these with the Planked Salmon Spice Rub they gobble it up and ask for more. It's almost a miracle.
