I originally tried installing this myself but the instructions are minimal, so I hired a handyman. He spent an hour with it and qot frustrated too. As someone else pointed out some of the instructions (basically just 4 digrams) have the installation exactly backwards, so he then tried to redo it based on the photo on the box. He eventually got it together but said the holes were not drilled correctly for the lower bracket. Plus he tried the shelf supports in every possible combination and never got it to fold absolutely flat. We're just living with it and it is a great product ideabut aargh!

We have a small balcony overlooking the Smoky Mountains...beautiful view but we didn't want to fill the balcony with both a table and two bar height chairs. This table has turned out to be perfect for us. Easy to assemble, well designed and constructed of metal not plastic like some. Easily folds down and also easily lifted up and stored inside. Totally pleased with the purchase.

This deck-rail-mounting electric grill shelf is well-made and sturdy. It supports my Fire Stone Cook Number Legacy LG20 electric grill perfectly, with plenty of room on either side to hold grilling utensils and so on. If I slide it a bit to one side, which is easy to do, it will also hold a meat platter. However, there is one major design flaw: the top holding clamps are not wide enough for the 2x6 boards that top my deck railing. The tightening knobs on the clamps extend just beyond the end of the metal part of the clamp, and only "tighten" on the plastic cap at the end of each clamp. So, you're only tightening down on a piece of plastic that will pop out at any moment. To get around this problem, I had to drill a hole through each of the clamps, with corresponding holes in the deck rail, to hold two heavy-duty lag screws. The only other problem is a minor one: the instructions for installing the lower horizontal brace are backwards. In other words, rather than pushing against the vertical slats in the deck railing, the instructions tell you to install the lower brace to adjust toward the front, away from the vertical slats. Just look at the picture on the box and reverse the instructions to get the proper orientation. These two problems aside, I am very pleased with this product.

first use rivet in hinge let loose everything on table wound up on the floor broken. definatley would not recommend this product. very poorly made and cheap looking also. not as depicted in picture.

This one was not only opened but several essential parts were missing, gone, not there, including the bottom cross brace in aluminum, half of each of the type bolts needed and some bolts not needed were tossed in. Worst shipment from Amazon ever.

I made a cedar cross brace and used my own adaptive stainless steel bolts but of the items I have frequently bought from Amazon this was the worst. It now works but does not look as neat as it does in the photo of the product.

Disappointing from Amazon.
