I ordered one of each, Cameron's and Grill-Pro. Cameron's is definitely the better choice. The chips are of a larger and more consistent size (less dust), the price is the same and the quantity in cubic inches is quite a bit more. Plus, the bag is sort of nice.

I looked and looked and looked for alder chips in stores. Apparently, nobody smokes salmon at home in Colorado. Finally,I have the ideal wood for smoking salmon! Don't even bother using hickory or mesquite for salmonyuck, too strong. I tried applewood, too, but it seemed slightly soapy smelling.

I bought a smoker from Cameron to use to smoke salmon and other fish. The smoker works very well and is easy to use. The alder smoke flavor is superb. I love it!! Especially the day after when it's cold.
