It's been a long time since I used charcoal and am still learning now much to use. This smoker/grill is just fantastic. I cook several days worth of food at a time and the extension is super. The table was very expensive so I made one like it and adapted it to the Primo for less than $70.00.
One problem is that the hardware in some areas has already begun to have rust spots, I will use a little steel wool and put some clear poly on them and see what happens from there. Be prepared at delivery, the truck driver helped out but there was no lift tailgate and there was no dolly so we had to carry it across our yard about thirty yards and the sucker is heavy.
After putting it in it's table I can not imagine a better smoker/grill at any price. Very, very satisfied.

I would like to preface my review by saying that I have had my Primo BBQ now for about 5 years. I use it 5 to 6 times per week, all year around. I like the shape, size and the way the food comes out. My only issues are with Primo's Quality.I have had 4 different fireboxes. Primo replaces these for free, but I have to pay the shipping. At one point they said that lower grate might be the cause, and sent me a new on. The new lower great came apart under heat and broke the new firebox. They would not replace the new lower grate for free so I had to buy a new one. They did give be a new firebox, but again I had to pay the shipping. The newest firebox cracked after only 4 months of use.
I got D plates with my Primo and now in less than 5 years they are completely falling apart. Cracks were visible after a few years and then eventually they just fell apart.
I would give Primo 5 stars for design and 1 star for quality. If someone else made a similar product I would buy it, and hope they knew what they were doing, because Primo doesn't have a clue.
