I had these flavorizer bars for years on a Weber. Since 2002 I have gone through two sets. Both times they ended up disintegrating. These work well in helping to reduce flare ups, adding the creation of smoke from dripping juices to add more flavor, and help protect your burners from getting clogged up. The only downside is that the porcelain coating comes off after a few years which will lead to massive rust problems and you will need to replace them.

Tired of that I finally upgraded to the stainless bars which perform just as well but they don't rust. Save yourself a few bucks later by spending a little more if you can afford spending the extra $10-$15 on the stainless bars.

I abandoned my Weber grill in 2004 due to a move and deployments with the Army. I decided a few weeks ago to refurbish it, as I had found it to be a great grill that was consistent in results. The grill was full of flaked paint, spiders, and crud... But the biggest problem I had was identifying what type of grill... ultimately the Weber site provided a step-step guide to determining correct parts. These flavorizer bars, at 22.5" are the right part for the Genesis Silver grill ( I now think mine is a "silver B")... great value from grady's and free shipping made the refurbishment the right move.

As we all know, the porcelain coated bars in our Webers are "consumables" meaning they are expected to wear out in time and be replaced. What is easy to forget is the substantial effect these bars have on the flavor of your food. Waiting until your old bars have holes in them and are disintegrating is only harming the BBQ taste in your food. You'll taste that first hand as soon as you drop the new bars in. My advice? Don't wait. As soon as you start noticing erosion to the metal of the bars, replace them. You'll be rewarded with great BBQ taste, rather than food that tastes like it was baked in your oven.

I was surprised when I went to clean off the crud on the bars of my older grill and found they had rusted through. I was happy to find the replacement cheaply on Amazon. I went to Weber's site and followed their easy steps to get the correct part number then bought them here. I actually got them through Amazon Warehouse as "used like new". They were obviously a return. The box had been opened but the bars were still sealed in the original bag. I am very happy with my purchase and glad I took a chance on the scary "used" label.

My Weber Genesis Silver B outdoor grill that has performed beautifully over the last 8 years. Two years ago, the grill's output started getting rather weak so I decided to perform some maintenance by replacing the burner tubes and propane gas line/regulator assembly. All of the other parts were in good condition, although the grates and Flavorizer bars were beginning to corrode.

After six years of heavy seasonal use this grill looked incredibly good.

This past year I had made the mistake of not sheltering the grill from the harsh winter weather. Not only did I ruin all that hard earned seasoning on the inside of the grill, but the grates and Flavorizer bars had an increasing amount of corrosion.

At this point, the grill has been put to use for eight years and I have no problem whatsoever investing more money in its maintenance. I chose to replace the Flavorizer bars along with some other parts. After installing these Weber 7536 Flavorizer bars, the Weber 7526 Cooking Grate , Weber 7513 Warming Rack, Weber 7514 Warm-Up Basket, and after meticulously detailing the entire grill I was satisfied knowing that the grill would continue to perform extremely well for the next few years.

I prefer these porcelain enameled bars instead of the stainless steel. In my experience stainless steel grill components do not wear as well. These also make for a much better appearance when compared to the stainless type.

I do however, feel that the enameling process was not performed up to Weber standards. There were some small areas near the bottom edges where the enamel coating appeared to be thin. If these unexpectedly begin to deteriorate anytime soon, this review would surely become edited.

The 7536 Flavorizer Bars are approximately 22 1/2" long and fit the Weber Genesis Silver B gas grill perfectly.
