This Roasting/Rib rack is sturdy, and large enough so that you can roast and lift a medium to large turkey or roast with no problem, whether you use it on a BBQ or in an oven. It's the perfect shape for cooking a large turkey breast-side down for it's first half of roasting, as the curved part of the roast rack is 3.875" deep, leaving the meat 1" over the surface of the roasting pan.
I use it in my oven. When used in an oven as a roast rack, it fits into a 15" by 11.25" (top), 9" by 13" (bottom) non-stick baking pan. When turned upside-down for baking ribs in the oven, it fits on an 18" by 13" half-sheet pan.
You will need to wear thick kitchen gloves when lifting this rack, when it's hot, as its handles are made of the same thick wire as the racks themselves. I have the original Orca silicone gloves made for this exact purpose, and the handle areas of this rack are generously-enough sized for their use.
Like all stainless steel cooking implements, as soon as it cools down after use, you should soak it in hot water until all adherants are soft enough to come off easily, wipe it with a dish rag and soapy water, and rinse it thoroughly. If the water in your area is hard, use INOX stainless steel cleaner once in a while to make it sparkle like new.
Note: This rack is not perfectly finished, although it's strong. It has a couple of sharp welds, so I covered the roast-side handles, and the roast-side top-weld, by snapping lengths of a silicon oven rack edge-cover over them. It looks rather jaunty now, and will protect my hands and the skins of roasted turkeys, or crusts of Beef Wellingtons with aplomb.

I bought the Bull and the Charcoal Companion because I was unsure of the exact sizes due to comments by others. I have a BBQ slow cooker with vertical sides, so I had very little extra room, and the comments left doubt as to which would fit.The Bull and Charcoal Companion are nearly identical except that the Bull is over $24 and the Charcoal Companion is about $18. They're both imported and stainless steel so I recommend the Charcoal Companion and save yourself some dough.

After years of using "coated roasting racks" that loose their non stick coating quickly, I was searching for a "stainless steal" rack that would last for many years. This one is great easy to clean and will retain its smooth finish for a long time.Honest reviews on Bull 24107 Stainless Reversible Roasting / Rib Rack
I love this rack! Heavy duty stainless steel rods make this rack strong enough to roast almost anything. Wide spacing between rods makes it very easy to clean. Best roasting rack I've ever used!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Bull 24107 Stainless Reversible Roasting / Rib Rack
Used on grill for Christmas rib roast. Worked perfectly. In the roast position the handles are a bit off center so there is a slight wobble. But it isn't anything to worry about. Was steady enough that it sat solidly inside the grill. Since I was also using wood chunks for smoke by the end of the cook time the rack was completely covered with smoke leavings. It cleaned up very easily with a copper wool pad.Since my intention all along was to use this in the grill I didn't trust non-stick coatings. Even on everyday cookware they require special attention. In this situation I believe stainless is a far superior choice. This rack didn't let me down! I'm looking forward to reversing it to the rib rack position and seeing how that goes.
