This thermometer is a must for getting that perfect temp when smoking meat. Nice to see the smoker temp and meat temp simultaneously. Its really nice not having to go outside and checkup every little while.

Smoker probe holder simple but effective

Gets good reception throughout the house

Have used it in the rain and no issues so far

Like the grey color of the handsets

The probe wires are a bit short but work for my setup, i believe they have extenders available,

Like the alarms that can be set for high and low temp settings.

Easy to read display with back light

I will say it is a bit pricey but being one of the few ones that are wireless available on the market it does its job well

I have not used the spice rub that came this combo set yet.

It started out okay but stopped working after about an hour. The base unit kept going (thank goodness) but the receiver would not stay connected for more than a minute or two. Reading other reviews it appears that some work okay and some do not. I ordered another one and it works fine so far. This one will go back to Amazon. The rub that came with this particular package was not all that great either.

This product works as advertised. Little instruction time, before you get up to speed and place the units into operations. Great tool allows you to go do other things around the house, and still be able to monitor you cooking. Nice features and easy clean up of the sensors.

I rate the function of this product five stars thou I've only used it four times to date. While smoking a rain storm popped up the transmitter got wet. It is designed to withstand rain but I noticed moisture on the inside of the LCD screen. Luckily it was only a week after the rain incident that I realized water had seeped in was able to to avoid ruining it. I took it apart and found that the o-ring gasket around the body was not set properly in the groove along the top allowing water to enter the unit. I was able to remove all the components and dry it out. I am happy the design was such that the electronics are placed in a position so it is not soaked if moisture gets in. The batteries and contacts did sit in water for the week.
