I bought this when I moved to Nashville, TN...where outdoor grilling is prohibited. Well my apartment has a fireplace so I bought the ember chef fireplace barbeque. Installation was a cinch. All you need is a flat-tip screwdriver. The base is heavy and durable. Once you put it in the fireplace you don't have to remove it, even when you're using your fireplace for just wood burning. It fits snugly in the back. Unfortunately, the first time I used it, the grill warped. I only used about 30 briquettes. It still performed its purpose, but something tempered would have been better. I'm afraid of the damage the grill may succumb to with an extended period of high heat grilling. I guess if you want to do hamburgers, dogs, or something that does not require high heat for more than 10-20 minutes you will be okay. Bottom line, my first meal was a success, and I look forward to using it throughout the winter.
