Living in Palm Springs, I really don't like to heat up the house in the summer time. I have been looking for an outdoor oven for a while I had a Charmglow oven but found the size to be way to small. Its only 15" x 15" after the racks and everything else.
When I found this oven I was ecstatic, it can hold a full 1/2 size jelly roll pan (18" x 13") with room to spare. on the sides and front and back. I found it for under $1000 and free shipping, I ordered one up. Living in CA it made it to my home in 2.5 days.
Assembly was not complicated, and I finished it by myself, though adding the top to the base I really should have used two people.
I had a tank of propane from an propane palm tree as I like to call them and moved it to the oven. The pizza stone does get hot. My inferred thermometer couldn't read the temp so it was up over 575. I baked some bread on the pizza stone but did burn the bottoms, so the next time I raised it up 1" off the stone on a oven rack I had, I guess I could have used the bottom rack in the oven, but figured I wanted it closer to the stone.
I haven't baked a pizza in it yet, but plan to do that this weekend, knowing the stone gets hot I won't walk away from it when cooking.
Suggestions to the manufacturer.
1A convection fan kit for the DIY people, or an option on the next version being built
2Thermostat so I can use it for slower cooking like stuff in the 200 or 350 range. Even on the lowest setting the pizza stone read 390 degrees
I have been in contact with Pacific Living the manufacturer of the oven and they have been great in answering questions and returning email. So much so that when I asked about a conversion kit to Natural Gas, I was told they were coming in at the end of the week, what the price was and to speed the process up I could use PayPal to be invoiced and pay to get the kit to me quicker. So the kit is shipping this week to me YAY.
Again very very happy with my purchase and the customer support I have received.

I received my oven and assembled in about an hour and a half or less, the pizza stone I received was cracked in half, I called the manufacturer and a new one was at my home the next day. Super service! I could have used it without the stone by using the round stones I already owned. The pizzas this makes are restauraunt quality, also it will cook a twenty five pound turkey ,breads, cookies cakes, anything you could imagine THIS ITEM IS WORTH THE MONEY FOR COOKING OUTSIDE. XLNT BUY
