The original equipment had rusted out. I purchased these along with new cast iron burners and stainless steel cooking grids and saved myself the hassle and expense of purchasing a new unit. I didn't think I would ever be able to find replacement parts on such an old grill. But now it's good as new and I saved thousands of dollars.
