While I haven't bought from this particular buyer I have tried them before. Imagine wrapping fresh halibut and asparagus with dill and a squirt of lemon with these cedar wraps. Then imagine the coals burning and steaming the wood to make it nice and moist. If you like planked fish then you'll love these

I have used the wraps with fish with splendid results. I add my marinade, vegetables and tie it up. Here are the pros:

-cooking at higher temperature without burning

-leaves no mess on the grill

-marinading as youre cooking

-adds smokey flavor

-great presentation

-no tongs required to flip

cons:

-no grill marks on the food

-extra cost

-didn't provide enough of the twine for all the wraps

Planks are wasteful in my opinion. This is both an environmentally conscious option as well as allowing for a shorter cooking time. The fish comes out delicious and evenly cooked. I bought four pkgs as we cook with these wraps all of the time.

I purchased cedar wraps a few years ago that were great. These would be but 6 x 7 inches is too small for wrapping even an average size piece of salmon. Even after soaking, they split before you can tie them. I will try using 2 wraps the next time and go back to buying the 7.25 x 8 inch size.

We found a similar product at one of our local grocery stores the Fire & Flavor brand endorsed by Gena Knox and tried them to use with salmon steaks. They were easy to use and allowed us enough room to add garnishes as well as some fruits and vegetables to cook in and marinade with the salmon steaks. For some reason, our grocery store stopped carrying them and we couldn't find them again so we came to Amazon to fine them which wasn't a problem because you can find EVERYTHING on Amazon! However, while searching for them we found this brand and it seemed to be a comparable product at a little better value so we decided to give them a try. They work just as well and we get a few more sheets for a little less money so these are a great option for us. Will definitely re-purchase and would recommend to others.
