Light works very well, and it is well concieved as being above and way from the grilling surface, thus avoiding damage due to heat, and the interference of hitting the lid if it were mounted on a shelf

We've had this light for a year and it's still going strong. However, buyer beware that the plastic may bubble slightly over high heat. Ours did bubble, but the light itself still works great.

I bought this grill light because it said that it was weatherproof. In fact, it even says right on the box "We built our pivoting grill light to work through all 4 seasons. Rain, wind, snow? Bring them on and bring the steaks too". The very first rain, it completely filled with water. It shouldn't even say weather resistent. I felt like the mounting clamp worked really well and it puts out a great amount of light. Not sure why it needs 4 D batteries to power LED lights. I will be returning this item.

I gave this as a gift to my husband...we grill often and he loved it! Would definetly buy again to use or as a gift...maybe a Father's Day gift!
