This is the first smoker thermometer I have purchased. I agree with the other reviews stating that the instructions are somewhat less than desirable, but I was able to finally understand how it works. PROS: It does what I needed it to do, give me the temperature of the inside of the smoke chamber as well as the meat itself. Kudos for a wonderful job. CONS: The power switch for the transmitter is inside the battery compartment. An external switch would have been much better. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a remote meat thermometer. Range is about 15 feet.

Easy to keep track of smoker temps for the hours it takes to smoke meat. Can be a bit complicated initially but has a sharp learning curve

Very disappointed in this item. The idea of both temps is a good one but that is all the good I can find in this. The range is horrible. I had to leave it outside on my lanai for it to work. When sitting next to each other they displayed different temps. I would not recommend this to anyone. A true waste of money.

This thermometer works well but it takes some learning to operate it properly. I reccomend one practice setting it up before the roast is in the oven.
