This thing kicks ass I use it for my 15 gallon brews. It gets all that water boiling in no time. It doesn't really have low enough setting to effectively use for a mash around 165F. I have a different burner for that purpose.

105K BTU? so then why does it heat/cook more slowly than my dad's cooker which was half the price and rated at half the BTUs? maybe for one, it has a single jet, vs. cheaper models with multiple jets in a ring. moreover, there are basic performance issues: lots of orange in the flame (better would be more blue) that suggests inefficient design, further evidenced by heavy soot deposits on bottom of pan. too bad.

I had the same model and manufacturer until I loaned it out and it never returned. I bought this as an identical replacement but it is not nearly as good as the first. Much cheaper and more flimsey than the first. Must be looking for ways to cut their cost of manufacturing. They found it.....cut the quality way back. Still probably a good deal but disappointing.

This cooker did the job; we needed to cook a large batch of crawfish and it did it in a good amount of time.

I purchased 5 of these and did not have the time to return them and purchase different ones. I had to cut all of them apart and re-weld to make them work. These are what we get when we have them made in China! Absolute JUNK!! Never buy these!!! NEVER!!
