The grill is built to perform, heats fast, up to 600F in about 10 minutes and temp control is great
The stainless steel grates are very heavy duty solid stainless steel
The back burner works great with the rotisserie cooked two chickens at the same time, they came out perfect!
You do have to take the warming rack off to use the rotisserie, would be nice if you did not have to, but not a big deal
The warming rack is very large
The stainless steel shelf's are very large and fold down very easily
The base is made of plastic, some may think that a bad thing, but I like that design as that is the first place other grills have rusted.. Again, time will tell..
The doors have plastic top and bottom caps with stainless steel fronts and powder coated backs.. Not sure I like the plastic caps for durability, but they look good.
The sides and back are also powder coated steel, kind of thin, this would seem to be a bit of a weak point, we will see how they hold up. They are black, so if they rust, at least they can be painted..
So now for a word of caution: I was a bit concerned about buying something as heavy as a grill and having it shipped UPS. The concern was well founded, the box was pretty beat up and there was damage to one of the stainless steel shelf's, the pins on the top of the doors were both broke and the handle had a scratch.
The good news is that the Broil King and Amazon both stepped up and made it right. Amazon offered to take the grill back, they would have sent a new one, but they were on back order. Since I did not want to send it back, they offered to apply a partial refund to my credit card. Broil King sent me new parts, no hassle, I told them what I needed and they sent it no charge.
I'm very satisfied with the customer service and the grill is great!

I am 57 years old and have gone through more gas grills than I can remember. Needing another I began to research grills in the $1000.00 range because I figured that, in the past, I was just getting what I paid for. I came upon the Broil King and read nothing but good things about them. The Sovereign 70 had the features I valued so I then searched for the best price. I found that Amazon offered it lower by far than anywhere else. I ordered and it shipped in good time. It was damaged in a couple of places but a call to Amazon and replacement parts were on the way. Fortunately, the damage did not prevent it's assembly. Assembly was fairly easy. An hour or so. All essential components are of high quality especially the stainless cooking grids. Massive! Ditto with the stainless steel burners, huge. I have used it several tines and will say unequivocally it's the hottest grill I ever used. Steaks are charred perfectly. I love it! I was a bit miffed with the damage but all was forgiven after cooking with this grill. I'm only sorry I waited so long to buy a decent grill. By the way Broil King customer service was top notch as well.Best Deals for Broil King 987734 Sovereign 70 Liquid Propane Gas Grill with Rear
This is everything you could want from a BBQ in this price range. It is solidly built, all parts are hi quality and, maybe most importantly, the grilling grids are solid stainless steel. My only criticism is the assembly. Be aware ... this is a serious DIY package. It wouldn't be so bad if the assembly manual were more helpful. The entire (yes, entire) manual is done in pictures ... no words of explanation. That said, the pictures are done well and I was able to assemble the unit with only a few minor missteps; but some words of explanation would have been helpful.Shipping from Amazon was faster than expected and delivery of this very heavy carton to my garage was without question although the garage is located quite some distance from the road.
Bottom line is that I would recommend this to anyone with some home handyman/woman skill. It is a great unit.

Honest reviews on Broil King 987734 Sovereign 70 Liquid Propane Gas Grill with Rear
I have owned my fair share of grills, cheap Char Broils, a Weber Genesis, a Vermont Castings, a Holland, a Ducane (before Weber bought them!), you name it. I wanted a new grill for this season (probably didn't need it, but whatever), and was torn between a Napoleon and a Broilmaster. Both around a grand or so, and I figured I'd keep this one for a while. I was about to order the Napoleon here from Amazon, and then I ran across this Broil King. Same features, not quite as pretty, but better heat, surface area, etc., for a few hundred bucks less. Researched Broil King for a bit, and found great reviews main thing was they get hot fast, which I like for my steaks. Came back to Amazon, and they had this thing on special for 400 bucks. Had to pull the trigger. Not disappointed fired it up, and hot is an understatement. This thing gets HOT!! Pegged the thermometer at over 700 deg in 10 mins. Seared the heck out of some steaks never looking back. Buy it!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Broil King 987734 Sovereign 70 Liquid Propane Gas Grill with Rear
After quite a bit of research, I decided on this grill. It is an great value. All the cooking components (burners, firebox, knobs, lighter) are of excellent quality and function well. The cooking size is not small, but not so big to take up the entire deck. The three burners can put out a _lot_ of heat, and provide great temperature control. It heats up to over 700 degrees F in only ten minutes. The aluminum firebox is great at retaining heat. The rotisserie is strong and a great inclusion at this price point. I can't comment yet on durability as I've had it only a couple of months, but it seems a well-built unit. I expect the aluminum firebox to last a long time. It was delivered on a pallet by a trucking company with no damage. I think earlier Amazon was shipping via UPS. That is a funny as the box is really heavy. I love that the stainless side tables can both fold down. The warming tray is large and useful, but must be removed to use the rotisserie. Not a big deal as it is easy to pop in and out. This is a one great cooking grill. I'd say it has average or better flare-up performance. Bottom of base is plastic to prevent rusting, sounds funny but works well.Pros:
1) Unbeatable value at this price for the cooking quality and durability of internals
2) Great heat output and control
3) Stainless steel cooking grates are maintenance-free, massive thickness, and retain heat very well. Easy to put grill marks on the steak
4) Great size
5) Not that it matters for cooking, but it is a good-looking grill
A few minor reservations:
1) Base panels are bit flimsy and may be prone to rust in the future. At least they'll be paintable.
2) Assembling a couple of the bolts is tough due to limited accessibility. A socket set is highly recommended over a crescent wrench. Assembly instructions are pictures only, and require some attention to follow. Fortunately , it comes with all the main burner components pre-assembled. Assembly took a couple of hours total.
3) Action of the two front doors seems odd (you need to lift up on door to open). It works as is, but feels a bit strange.
