I own a high end Weber grill that originally came with a regulator and hose that was made in Italy. I searched and found an OEM replacement regulator. The replacement regulator was made in China and substantially lighter and felt cheaper than the original. But I decided, what the heck. A regulator is a simple device,.....so as long as it works. I installed the OEM replacement and it did not work properly right out of the box. Back it went. I thought perhaps it was a cheap Chinese knock off. So I called Weber, and sure enough, they are now using China as a supplier for their replacement regulators.
So I searched Amazon to see if I could find a regulator with with a long enough hose. I found this GrillPro regulator with a 24" hose. Again, a regulator is a regulator. This regulator did not even need an adapter to fit my grill. When installed all 3 main burners and all the side burners were able to burn on high. (Allows enough gas through the regulator)
Now this regulator is made in Mexico and is somewhat lighter than the original Italian regulator. (But heavier than the replacement Chinese OEM regulator.) But it worked just as good as the original Italian regulator. And this swap out was just as easy as though it had been the OEM. I would strongly recommend this regulator over the OEM regulator for Weber until Weber gets it's act together and realizes that it built it's name on a quality product VS how much it can save buy selling us junk.

Regulator on my Char-Briol grill slowly died. They wanted about $90 for their replacement. Works great! This is really the way to go!
