I needed a grill basket for grilling fish. Past attempts without a basket have resulted in the fish falling apart.

This basket has worked great so far. I had to made a slight modification to the bands first before using. With the as shipped condition, I don't think a thick salmon steak or thick salmon filet can fit inside. Thus, I opened up the bands, and they've worked perfectly since. Just spray on some oil and load the fish and grill.

The best feature about this basket is that the handles extend. Thus, you can adjust the basket on the grill without having your hands over the flame. Because of this, the extended handles don't get hot. Any issues with fish that has burnt onto the basket can be resolved by placing the basket over the flame until the fish pieces are burnt off.

Took this bad boy campin'. Opened basket. Inserted weenies. Closed basket. Held basket over fire. Turned a few times. Removed basket from fire. Opened basket. Extracted weenies. Ate weenies. Consumed beer. Bueno.

Also worked for hamburgers over a grill in the park.

Purchased this about a month ago and its already broken. The metal that is in place to do the job of the hinge consists of two very small and flimsy metal clips, which bend/break off the moment you try to place anything even slightly thick in the grill basket in this case several brussell spouts and small pieces of zucchini squash. Once these clips come off, they can be reattached with a pair of pliers (this was how I got through my get together) but they won't really work too well afterward. Buying another grill basket with a decent hinge.
