The probe worked well but shuts off from maximum temp. At 400 degrees. Nowhere near the 716 rated temperature. Works well if your just smoking

I bought 3 probes and all died within a week. These cannot be used in an outdoor grill even though they state they can. Do NOT buy.

This probe is much shorter than the original on for my Maverick ET-73. I think it's 18" shorter than the one that came with my ET-73. Do not expose it to water or it will fail on you!

This is a good tool to double check grill temperatures or oven.The higher temp range will help save my meat Probes.I would recommend it to friend.

I use this temp probe exclusively for bringing my barbecue up to the ideal grilling temp of 400 degrees. It works great being much more accurate than the temp gauge that came with my barbecue. And, it reads the same as the digital thermostat in the house. As a result, it really saves on propane and guesswork.

I don't have to be concerned with burning out the probe as it has a 716 degree limit to it. Great idea, great product!
