It was a surprise that this little machine worked very well with my BBQ party. I like it very much. Many things I like: small, light, you don't need any tool to put together. The machine handled the 50 lb pig very well. I impressed my friends came to the party. I see they have big machine now. I will jump into it when I have a big party. The package is very good, too.

I bought this pig rotisserie because I wanted to experience how to roast a whole pig (lechon). I'm Filipino so roasting lechon is part of my culture (most especially eating it). I was able to roast a 30 lb. pig on it. My experience using this pig rotisserie was good. I'm not giving it a 5 star because I think there should be an improvement for the tripod legs. The reason for this is that when I adjusted the height of the tripods, the legs were close to the hole where the bolt goes so the wing nut was kinda hard to turn or blocked by one of the leg that it could not turn. I bypassed this when I turned the bold instead to secure it. I was kinda bothered a little bit about the motor moving during roasting but this was mentioned in the manual to not stress out the motor. It was sturdy because my husband and I made sure that the 2 tripods were balanced on an even surface. The spit rods are stainless steel and very strong. My first pig roasting was a success! Will definitely use it again.

We used the product for roasting a lamb and it worked perfectly. We also like the fact that the legs are adjustable to varying heights.

Very flimsy, the stand and everything is so wobbly and fell over several times. We only used it for a 28lb lamb and it struggled . It was barley long enough to accommodate the small lamb, I can't imagine it could accommodate a 50lb animal. You need a much longer spit to keep the motor away from the heat. A counter weight would also be necessary to help it work efficiently.

I won't recommend this GC-50 product to anyone. It was work the way it advertised, and be ware; when u bought it, you can not return. I'm stuck with this unworkable product that I paid $350 for it.
