Our friend has the smaller version of this fire pit and we love it. When we saw that it also came in a larger size we decided to get it. We absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! We have block parties throughout the year and this fire pit will work out just great!!!

Word of advice, do not purchase the Veranda 44" fire pit cover that is pictured with this fire pit. It DOES NOT fit. It barely fits over the ring at the upper part of the pit. The cover would definitely fit the Big Sky (smaller version of the Super Sky) Fire Pit.

OMG this is a great backyard fire pit for 2 people or a dozen. It burns really well...just the right amount of draft from the fantastic stars & moon cut outs. It arrived with one defective outer ring part but I called the 1-800# on the instructions and they were friendly and helpful and sent out the replacement part immediately. Amazon price is the best!

Bundling tree branch for recycling used to a chord now it is not, I just burn them all. Have had lot of fun playing campfire and roasting mash with the kids.

The legs are a bit low, the grass beneat the firepit looks dry after a few infernos, I fix the issue with 3 cinder blocks.

Solidly build. My pot arrived with with minor dings, no big deal. The 40" advertised include the outer ring; the pot it self is only 34". Don't forget to look for a grilling grate and extra long skews to complete the set.

I love this fire pit, it looks good and does not suffer badly from breezes as some of the more exposed models do. Make sure you place sand on the bottom of the pit and skim out the ashes after a few fires, as this will save the bottom of the pit from corroding on you. I've found that the use of a fire starter log ensures a great fire for a few hours just place it on the bottom and stack other wood up onto it.

The assembly is a little tedious but with patience and paying attention to the direction can be done by a single person. the ring was the most annoying part, requiring a little teaking to get right. (Do not tighten it beyond a loose state until you have all the supports attached as you will need to adjust this as it tightens.) Do remember to place a small bag of fine sand in the base of the pit and remember to get a cover.
