This product appears to be the same as the Maverick ET-73, check out the reviews, especially the negative ones. This unit is not very user friendly, the on/off switch is under the battery cover, the receiver does not work well, and one of the temp probes failed on the first use. The Primo Smoker I have is of very high quality, that's why I selected their thermometer. Don't waste your time or money.

I agree with KR, above. My unit worked two or three times before I started getting "HHH' or "LLL" readouts from both probes. I tried to contact Primo by e-mail but they never responded to my questions. I suppose there is nothing they wish to say. I'm trying to determine if there is a warranty.

The grill is great but the temperature probe was a waste.

Bought this item last year. Used it once then as other users have stated it starts to show LLL or HHH after 1st use. After complaining was told I could return for refund but minus shipping charges. Was very dissapointed. My $10.99 wireless unit from walmart has given me more trouble free accurate readings than this did. (although just gives meat temp readings, no probe for accurate cooking temp) Take my smoking/grilling very seriously so thought getting a more hi-tech Item would help with my temp controls. The probe that failed was the smoker/grill temp. Was told I could get a replacement for $7.99 plus shippng.

this is an excellent product. Takes all the guesswork out of grilling. Highly recomended.Know what the temperture is inside the grill and the temperture of the meat.
