We purchased the Original Grill pad to protect our new deck from grease spills from our smoker and it performs as advertised. Because our new deck is made out of synthetic materials, the backing of the pad could not be rubber or plastic. This protective pad is a little pricey, but is high quality and seems to be holding up well against the excessive rain that we get. Another great benefit of this product line is that they offer it in various shapes, rectangular, oval and circular. We didn't need a huge pad so the grey circular pad was great! Would definately purchase a second pad for under our grill!

Nothing fancy or special about this grill pad. I am using it as a cover on a wood deck under a fire pit. Be advised that is 30 inches across some people are expecting something bigger read the description.

Handily kept a small fire pit from scorching the ground or grass. Easy to store near the wood pile. Haven't tried it on a deck, but it was great on the grass.

We ordered this grill pad to put under our fire bowl we have on our cedar deck. The deck hasn't burned down yet or has a single hot spot or burn mark. I'd say it's doing it's job well!
