My roommate owns this grill and I dug it out of the garage a couple of weeks ago. I've used it a few times since then. When I found it there was no handle on the lid and one handle on the side was loose, the other missing a screw. I went through my "spare parts" and found a pretty nice handle for the top and a screw to fix the handle on the side of the grill, but I'm going to have to break down and buy a different grill at some point. I like it quite a bit more than Smokey Joe.
Good:
--Nice, even, close-to-the coals cooking
--Lid really traps the smoke for a rich flavor
--Has not made a mess in the back of my car (what's conservative driving?)
--Despite obvious neglect, I like the grill and I think it would last a few more years without any problem
--Inexpensive
--Fits 6 medium chicken breasts or 6-8 burgers
--Very portable
Lacking:
--Almost no adjustability at all (it cooks fast or really fast)
--A little rickety; quality seems poor but adequate
--No easy way to seal the grill for snuffing coals

I've been using some sort of grill like this one for at least 8 years. They're extremely handy for when you want to grill out at the beach, but not take something more cumbersome or bulky. When my old standby finally bit the dust (rusted out) I bought this grill as a replacement. I've used it several times now and it is great. Easy to assemble, easy to store, and just the right size to grill a meal for my wife and I. I'd recommend it without reservation.Best Deals for Char-Broil Table Top Charcoal Grill
This is a great portable, cheap, and sturdy grill. Took this out by the lake and parks a lot. It allows me really enjoy the summers. This is the second one of these I have owned. The previous one lasted about 5-7 years with heavy use.
Honest reviews on Char-Broil Table Top Charcoal Grill
I had an older (10yr old) SunBeam table top grill version; build alot more solid than this one.(they don't build them like they used to). The old one was a gas type, just disassemled a few parts and it's and was used as a charcoal grill...Anyway,I bought a Gas version Char-Broil Top Grill @ the Army Base and it was cheaper.
But I wanted a Charcoal one, so took it back and ordered thru Amazon($29).
A Charcoal grill arrived, it had a small dent on the lip for the lid.
A have a few metal shaping tools and about 30min of pounding it worked out/ the lid was able to sit right. Other people would have had to sent the item back.
Cooked with it about a week later and was happy with it. It's small and portable. I would recommend it only as a small grill.
I did rotated the inserted legs opposite than the instructions and picture on the box/ this way they won't slip out on you while cooking.
Also snipped a few slots on the charcoal tin pan to drop it a little lower, enable to add a few more charcoals into it and keep cooking longer.
other than that it does it's job.
