I don't understand why there are two stars on the other review. It says "charcoal grate for 14 inch grills". Product description even states actual size 10.5 inches. So I don't understand if reviewer is giving two stars for effectiveness of product or a misunderstanding of the product description. It fits my Smokey Joe and it holds the charcoal in place, doing what it should do. Only reason I had to replace it was my fault -I left it at the campsite.

I ordered this to replace a charcoal grate (the smaller one that the coals go on top of) which was accidentally thrown out with the coals. It fits perfectly so I can continue to use my beloved Smokey Joe.

I purchased this grate to lay on top of the original grate but turned 180 degrees to form small squares so small pieces of lump charcoal does not fall through. Works as I intended, which is great!

After several years of heavy use, I finally had to buy a replacement grill grate for my little Smokey Joe Weber. This is not the grill top, but the charcoal grate that sits at the bottom of the Weber and holds the charcoal. It measures 10.5", just right for the small tabletop Smokey Joe grill. The product arrived on time and in excellent condition. It fits perfectly and does the job. Not much else to say. Though it is clear that these grates have a limited lifespan. They tend to rust and corrode quickly, especially if the grill is not cleaned out regularly--and stored inside during the winter months.

PROS:

--Measures 10.5" in diameter and fits the Weber Smokey Joe perfectly

--Solid construction

CONS:

--Tends to corrode if not cared for regularly
