I've tried a ton of different "Smoke products" on my grill before and not only have I not got anything close to the desired result, but I had to clean up a mess afterwards. These were recommended to me by a friend who is hardcore into barbequing. Anyway, long story short, I like the cleanup associated with a gas grill, but I miss the smell and flavors associated with charcoal and wood. I've tried a ton of different products in the past which you have to soak and whatnot, and I even had purchased the special Weber box to hold them and had disasterous results. Regardless, I gave both the Hickory and Cherry a shot and holy Toledo they worked. The flavor we got out of these were unreal and they burned COMPLETELY. Nothing left. No soaking beforehand and they were just easy to use even in a gas grill. Only recommendation I would give is check out the website before which has some instructional videos for a gas grill. Great product and I continue to buy this again…perhaps one day ill even take a step towards a beginner smoker.

Worked well on my electric smoker. Not so well on gas grill. Will continue to practice using the gas grill.

I thought I was buying small cubes but this item is lage bricks. To use I have to use hammer and chisel to break into smaller pieces that fit in weber smoker. I will not buy again. It does produce a large amount of smoke but did not impart much flavor.
