1. This is one speed only (although speed is perfect for large meat).
2. The height adjustment is only good if you plan on cooking over an open flame on the ground. I like using a 1/2 barrel for the heat and the height only adjusts up about 1 foot. Another foot on the height would have been ideal. I have to put the spit on blocks to get it high enough to fit over the fire barrel.
3. The spit bar itself is great for large meat; however, without a custom basket and/or a smaller spit bar, large meat is all you can cook with it.
I'm very pleased with it and it shipped out on time and was professional packaged etc. I look forward to many years of feeding the neighbourhood!

The GC 80 turned our 60lbs lamb for 7 hours effortlessly. I have full confidence we can do an 80lbs pig. Had to grind out the spit fork a bit before ot wold fit on the spit. Bit other than that it's worked great.Sorry couldn't post a picture. Lamb looks delicious though.

I purchased this item to spit roast a 65-70lb piglet after reading some negative reviews on alternative rotisserie. My experience with this product was overall positive. It ran without a problem for 7+ hours. The main spit held together very well and the forks did not rotate. However, for my next roast I intend on (1) building a custom firepit with fire bricks and (2) finding a better way to secure the legs of the pig while balancing the rotisserie. The reason for (2) is because the legs throw the entire rotisserie off-balance. We had wired the legs tightly to the forks but there was still a "throw" effect every time the legs went from rotating up to rotating down. Two small crossbars secured to the spit with a small counter balance should resolve that problem.
All in all, I recommend this rotisserie for roasting up to a 70lb pig.
