if you're looking to replace your permasteel grates you know the ones that have pretty much rusted away in places well, these will do it. They are very nice cast iron grates with what appears to be a heavy enamel coating. The only reason they are losing one star is they are not as thick as they said they were in the description, they are not 1 inch, they aren't even a half inch. However, they were about half the cost for 2 as most of the others, so it's a trade off I'm willing to make, I'd just like to know I was making the trade off BEFORE I bought them.

Bought this for my PerfectGlo grill I bought several years ago.It is about one third the price of the original replacement grate and works great!
