Was looking forward to using this, After received on first use, display showed all F's when temp got above 90. Called manufacturer who told me that a wire had broke in probe and sent me 2 more, after 2 weeks got probes and used again, first probe worked til 100, then displayed all Fs again, second probe worked til second use then would not display anything but the Fs. Wireless range isn't even close. Returned to Amazon. THANK YOU AMAZON. Got even cheaper unit from Walmart that works twice as good and has much better wireless range. Notified CHar Broil and the rep said they have received several complaints about this unit. It carries the Char Broil name but is made by another company.

I was so happy when I began using this thermometer. Two times I cooked steaks perfectly. The third time I went to use it, the temperature read about 75 degrees high. Now it's out of warranty so it's trash.

This item is perfect for anyone who enjoys grilling! You'll no longer need to hover over the grill or cut into a steak to see if it's done. Just insert the thermometer, close the lid, and go watch TV! The remote display will show you the internal temperature and even alert you when it's reached the desired temperature. Grilling the perfect steak or piece of chicken has never been so easy. As mentioned in the instructions, do not leave the smaller display on the grill. I had mine inside the grill door and kept the grill covered but somehow it seems to have gotten wet. I'll definitely be buying another but keeping it inside this time. I would definitely recommend this product.

Wanted a wireless thermo for awhile and thrilled to get this for Xmas. Used it 3 times but never trusted it fully. Fourth time it told me a 1 inch NY was still raw (less than 120 deg) after 20 mins with open lid on medium. Cut into the steak and it was way over done, tough and scorched; 20 bucks, wasted! Came with 2 probes, both said same thing. Tried cleaning probes, new batteries, no difference. Tested next on simple chicken breasts I do everyday, but never read over 120 and not close to correct. Maybe it needed recalibrating, instructions were useless. Website shows zero replacement parts. Nice idea, good name, epic fail on tech. This unit is only good for 1or 2 cooks and thats not worth my time.
