Just made the first wood grilled pizza and it was awesome. This allowed checking and turning without losing the heat. Followed directions about coals and wood and it worked like a charm.

I purchased this kit as a gift for my b/f who recently bought the Weber Performer Platinum Charcoal Grill (22.5 in grill).

This pizza kit clearly states that it works for 22.5 in grills, BUT when we assembled it and put it on, it kept popping off (The circular metal piece that the pizza is to be cooked in, sorta "hooks" onto the edge of the bbq). Anyways, it does not fit.

The entire package is overpriced and can be made by anyone with sheetmetal skills, its just a piece on smoothed out sheet metal with a few screws and handles on it. Not worth the cost. ALSO, to actually MAKE a pizza, you still need to go out and by a stone to set the dough on amongst other items required.

Bottom line, not worth the money.

***OK. I CHANGED MY REVIEW BECAUSE I CONTACTED THE COMPANY THAT SELLS THIS ITEM AND WAS INFORMED THAT AMAZON HAS BEEN SENDING OUT THE WRONG SIZED INSERTS (HENCE MINE NOT FITTING). THE "CORRECT" INSERT IS BEING SHIPPED TO ME. So.....4 Star's for the Company righting the wrong! Still though, it is over priced.
