I frequently use these Hickory chunks in my Char-Broil smoker to add flavor to my meats. I think the flavor is great and natural, and couldn't be happier with the results. Bought these to take camping up the mountains and use to add flavor to dinner meats and instead of smelling like hickory the chunks smelled like they were pine. Everyone there was disappointed as well.
