While this burner worked for my 22.5" curved bottom wok, it will not accommodate a 17.5" flat bottomed pot due to angled supports. 13" flat bottomed pot would fit without modification. This isn't a big deal to me, because I can cut and weld it better than designed, but I planned on no mods to fit both wok and 17" pot for boils and thought others might be advised.
Stands about 18" off the ground. I built a cheesy 2x4 table with plywood (for wok height) and the heat shield works well enough that I don't think I will need to tile the table top. I haven't loaded the wok fully yet, so cannot comment whether 60K btu will suffice (commercial burners are close to 200btu.)
This burner also fits the 10gal "jambalaya" pot that King Kooker makes, and I will say it is sweet. Cast iron holds the temps well after adding cold food for deep frying (not turkeys) baskets of small stuff like rings,fries,shrimp,wontons.
Would have been 5 stars, but the 17.5" in the name is not accurate and should be labeled 13" to work with any flat-bottomed pot.
