This rack works well. Using indirect heat, a drip pan with a little water in it to catch the grease and create a little moisture and you are set to go! The rack holds more than you think it will hold. Can be used for chicken breasts, quarters, etc. also. I spray my racks with a little olive oil before I put everything on the grill...this helps with the clean up....makes that job allot easier.

I just used this for the first time last weekend and it did a pretty good job. The finish is good, no issues with balance (ie the ribs flopping over), no rusting issues after washing...it did it's job pretty well.
There were only one thing really keeping this from being a five star review. Like another poster put the holders are somewhat close together. I was able to slip them in with no problem, pulling them out I had to be careful because after smoking them for 6 hours they get a bit tender. The only real problem I had was that the ribs in the middle were so tightly pressed against the rack on either side that it didn't get as much heat or smoke. I had to finish those ribs off in the oven and they didn't have the nice smoke ring I like to see. I would suggest only cooking one or two racks at a time so this doesn't happen (this is kind of a bummer since there are technically 4 slots for the ribs to go).

Bought a pair. Love the construction. Hate the design/size. First use was baby back ribs -average size. Had to forcibly squeeze them into the rack. Lost some of the rub off the ribs in the process. Struggled to remove the ribs in order to flip them half-way through cooking -required some force and the acrobatic use of two pairs of tongs in order to pull them out without everything flipping off the grill. Lost some of the meat and some more of the rub in the process.
Long story short, these racks, given their design and narrow slots, aren't good for anything other than the smallest/straighest ribs, etc. For me, these were a total waste of money -I never expected I'd have to research the width of the slots on a rib rack before purchasing. Hard to understand why Weber designed these the way they did -I'd love to see a Weber exec try to make healthy-sized baby back ribs using these.
Bought these through my wife's Amazon account. Otherwise, it would show up for me as a "verified purchase."
Honest reviews on Weber 6406 Rib Rack
I cook baby back pork ribs all the time. This rib rack is indispensable. The poster that said they were too small must not have tried cooking with them. It holds the ribs up and apart so that they get even heat. If they were any farther apart the ribs would slump down in the slots keeping them from getting even heat and making them difficult to remove. Once they are done you just take them off the heat, flip them over and give them a shake-the ribs just fall out. I have only cooked beef spare ribs once as they are not as popular with my crowd, but they worked well with them also.

We purchased this Weber rib rack and it was an immediate hit. We have recently started using wood chips and a smoker box on our Weber gas grill and bought the rack for obviously, making ribs. What we did not realize until after using it, is it is also perfect for thick boneless pork chops, bone-in chicken breasts, and anything else that you want to cook low and slow to keep the moisture in. We put a little spice rub on the chops, stand them up in the rack, and they are the best tasting chops we have made in many years of grilling. Very happy with how moist they are. The only thing we haven't completely mastered yet is cleanup. I am not sure you need to use a non-stick spray on it, but I did, and it is difficult to clean it off afterwards. Next time around we will skip that step and see if it cleans up more easily after a good soak in hot soapy water. But the rack is a great design and has added to the fun we have grilling!
