Item arrived as anticipated. However the photograph of Brinkmann Electric Charcoal Starter is misleading. We expected and bought this starter mainly for the longer chord. Our grill and outside electrical wall outlet are not exactly convenient. The longer cord would have eliminated the need for an extension chord. From the photo we expected the longer chord but the chord is the typical short chord. We can't vault the seller because this maybe the photo provided by the manufacturer. If so, this photo definitely needs to be changed.

The quality appears to be good....but the cord is about half the length of my old one! You will need to extend the cord 2-3 feet to reach most any outlet.

Works well. Better, quicker and (mostly) safer than charcoal lighter. Only takes 5 minutes longer to start my Kamodo than my gas grill which I've pretty much quit using.

It is the same cal-rod electric fire starter that it has always been, EXCEPT that for this replacement I had to go to the store for a heavy duty extension cord, because they now make it with an impossible to use 3 foot cord.
